THE MOSTLY STRINGBAND - Updated June 30, 2010

THE MOSTLY STRINGBAND is a 5-member band that formed out of musicians who regularly attended a weekly acoustic jam over a period of almost 2 years. Our repertoire covers many musical genres: originals, standards and Tin Pan Alley songs, swing, waltzes, and old-time, with a little Celtic and Cajun thrown in for spice. The band features Hal Oleari, Sherri Whitham, John Tiedeman, Rachel Anderson, and David Menefee performing on guitars, mandolins, resonator guitar, fiddles, banjos, ukuleles, standup bass, accordion, and vocals! Our name originates from our being mostly a string band, with the addition of the accordion, not typically found in a string band. Recently, John Tiedeman let us know he has to take a break from the band, so we are no down to 4 band members. But he may still play with us, once in awhile.
