THE MOSTLY STRINGBAND - Updated August 7, 2008

The Mostly Stringband from Trinity County

THE MOSTLY STRINGBAND is a 5-member band that formed out of musicians who regularly attended a weekly acoustic jam over a period of almost 2 years. We play many musical genres: swing, old-time, bluegrass, standards, Tin Pan Alley, Celtic, contemporary, and more. Our band features Hal Oleari, Sherri Whitham, John Tiedeman, Rachel Anderson, and David Menefee performing on guitars, mandolin, resonator guitar, fiddles, banjos, standup bass, accordion, and vocals! Our name originates from our being mostly a string band, with the addition of the accordion, which is not usually found in a string band.

If you are interested in attending a future musical performance or having us perform at your event, please call Rachel at 628-4579 or email Rachel or call Hal or Sherri at 623-1676. We have weekly practices where you can hear us play. If you would like to get on an email list to be notified of upcoming gigs, email Rachel.

We now have band band t-shirts for sale! They are in 3 colors: beige, sage (light) green, and red in medium, large, X-large, and XX-large. We bring t-shirts to gigs to sell. If you are interested in one, let us know. They are $15 each. View image that is on T-shirts.
